Plåthuset is an art gallery and a workshop space for numerous cultural and creative activities. It is a suggestion for an expansion of Hemgården in the city centre of Lund, Sweden. The building itself is located along a brick wall and therefore creates a contrast with its grey steel structure and white sheet metal.

From an interpretation of two older scanian half-timbered houses (korsvirkeshus) a modular system is created to make up the facade of Plåthuset. It follows the sites common expression but with its own unique surface material.

It operates with an open gallery space on the ground floor and a second floor equipped for different workshops.

Created together with with Nora Rennéus
at Lund University 2016.
